| Elmhurst College Celtic and Caribbean World Music Festival This is an exciting, creative program that blends the musical traditions of Ireland and the Caribbean. It features 10 visiting artists worldwide, as well as the Elmhurst College Jazz Band, Philharmonic Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, and Late Night Blues Vocal Ensemble. Guest artists include Liz Carroll, a Grammy nominated Irish fiddler and internationally recognized Celtic composer; Liam Teague, the "Paganini of Steelpan," a Trinadad and Tobago native and winner of many international steelpan competitions; Sheila Houlahan, vocalist with the Manhattan School of Music specializing in Gaelic and Celtic music; the Mullane Healy Godley Irish dancers, an Irish dance academy in Chicago with two World Champions on staff, and many others. The artists will perform individually, and they will collaborate with the Elmhurst College musical ensembles.
